Tapestry weaving is my way of expressing my inner sense of design and rhythm.  It is meditative, extremely labor intensive and grows within a structured framework.  Each tapestry is unique and one of a kind.  Most of my yarns are hand dyed in Taos, NM .  I sometimes use shiny luscious silks and metallics to add shimmer and joy.  My looms range from small tabletop tapestry looms to my huge Rio Grande Spanish walking loom.  My tapestries vary in size from 4x6 inches to 5x8+ feet.

I begin each tapestry with a design in my minds eye.  Memories from the spirit place and the connection I feel to the harmony and power of nature affect the development of the design.  I feel very influenced by the beautiful ocean landscape that surrounds me, and by the art, ancient flow and spiritual culture of the Chimayo and Native Americans of the Southwest.

I love the colors, textures, smell of the wool, the rhythm of weaving each row, the singing of the loom.
